• School principals report that their CityKicks students show improved relations with their teachers who coach, better attendance, and improved peer relations among the girls on the team.
• Participating girls say they learn about teamwork, cooperation, concentration, patience, controlling one's temper, communication, "good spirit", and keeping "in shape".
• CityKicks offers summer programming that brings players from different school teams to play together

• CityKicks is making waves at the high school level as well. When we began in '99, not one Boston high school offered varsity soccer for girls, even though it had been available to most high school boys for years. By Fall 2001, however, one high school began offering varsity-level girls' soccer, and now seven others have upgraded and now offer girl's soccer at a JV or club level.
